Synopsis

An updated release of FromSoftware's 2011 action role-playing game set in the decaying kingdom of Lordran. You guide a cursed undead warrior through a connected world of dangerous enemies and large bosses, resting at bonfires and learning from repeated deaths. The remaster adds higher resolution, a smoother frame rate and online co-op and invasions.

What people say

Critics welcomed the sharper visuals and steadier 60 fps, and the original's level design, atmosphere and tough but fair combat still earn praise. Criticism focused on how few changes there are, with some calling it a re-release, plus leftover bugs, unfinished late-game areas and weak anti-cheat on PC. Opinions differed on whether the price is justified for returning players. Steam players rate it Very Positive.
