Synopsis

Fallout: New Vegas is a first-person open-world role-playing game set in the post-apocalyptic Mojave Wasteland. You play a courier who survives a shooting and gets caught up in a struggle between rival factions over the region and its casino city. Quests can usually be solved through combat, talking, or stealth.

What people say

Reviewers praise the writing, the faction system, and the freedom to resolve quests in different ways, and many call it a richer follow-up to Fallout 3. The main criticisms are the dated engine, recycled assets, and a notable number of bugs and crashes at launch. Some critics felt it played like an expansion rather than a new game. Players have kept it among the best-loved Fallout games.
