Synopsis
A first-person puzzle game in which you create linked portals to move through test chambers in a decaying research facility. The single-player campaign adds new surfaces and light-based tools and a talking cast of machines, and a separate cooperative campaign has two players solving puzzles together.
What people say
Critics praised the sharp, funny writing and voice acting, the inventive puzzles and new mechanics, and a cooperative campaign built for two. The pacing was called free of filler. Complaints were modest: puzzles usually have one intended solution so replay value is limited, the story ending was less interesting to one reviewer, and it is a bigger sequel more than a bold new direction. Steam players rate it Overwhelmingly Positive.
