Synopsis

Terraria is a 2D sandbox adventure set in procedurally generated worlds. You mine ore, craft gear, build shelters, and fight your way through underground caverns, dungeons, and increasingly dangerous bosses. Up to several friends can share a world to explore and build together.

What people say

Critics praise Terraria for its sheer depth, its huge catalog of items, bosses, and biomes, and the constant sense of discovery. Reviewers often describe it as a more exploration- and combat-focused cousin of Minecraft. The most common complaints are that the game explains very little, leaving newcomers to rely on a wiki, and that early console controls felt clumsy. Players rate it among the best-liked games on Steam.
