Synopsis

A single-player fantasy role-playing game set in a huge, war-torn open world. You play Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster hunter, as he searches for his adopted daughter Ciri. Along the way you take on monster contracts, make dialogue choices that shape events, fight with sword and magic, and play the Gwent card game.

What people say

Critics praised the enormous, richly detailed world, the writing and voice acting, and side quests that often feel as strong as the main story. Combat, alchemy and the monster-hunting contracts also drew approval. Complaints centered on technical problems such as frame rate dips, bugs and long load times, plus clumsy horse handling and some padding in the main plot. Players on Steam rate it overwhelmingly positively.
