Synopsis

A comic business simulation in which you run a small airline from a terminal full of offices, buying planes, booking routes and taking freight jobs. Your character walks between the travel agency, the bank, the aircraft dealer and rival desks to make every deal, while three AI rivals compete and sabotage. Play follows mission goals set by the airport manager or an open-ended free mode.

Reception

Critics liked its blend of business planning and cartoon humor, and a 2015 retrospective still found it well balanced, with graphics that hold up. The same review noted that the flight diary is fiddly and that one sabotage subplot has aged badly. Steam players remain mostly positive and praise the charm of walking the terminal, though several say the mechanics are poorly explained and difficulty swings from easy to harsh. Early Steam buyers also reported heavy lag in the main hall and missing speech bubble text on some AMD cards.

  • All of its content still works (servers, DLC, unlocks)
The Deluxe release keeps all missions and add-on content, and LAN play still works on Windows (PCGamingWiki).

The game supports only a 4:3 image with no widescreen option (PCGamingWiki).

Design today

3.5/5
  • Controls feel natural on a modern controller or mouse and keyboard
The game is played entirely with the mouse: click to walk to an office and click menus to make deals, which suits a desktop setup. Keys cannot be remapped and there is no controller support, but none is needed. Source: pcgamingwiki.com, thedailystar.net.
  • Menus, text or interface are hard to read on today's screens
The game runs only at a fixed 4:3 resolution with no widescreen option and gameplay capped at 20 FPS, so text and menus look small and blurry on modern displays. Route planning happens in a cramped flight diary. Source: pcgamingwiki.com, thedailystar.net.
  • Saving is fair: free saves or frequent checkpoints, little lost progress
Progress is saved manually to any of twelve save slots, so little is lost after a bad decision. Source: pcgamingwiki.com.
  • Hard to make progress without a guide
Steam players repeatedly say the game explains its systems poorly, and newcomers go bankrupt early until they learn routing and permits from guides or trial and error. Source: steamcommunity.com, steamcommunity.com, thedailystar.net.
  • Pacing holds up: little grind, filler or forced backtracking
Missions set short, clear goals and the free mode lets players stop whenever they like, with no forced grind. The 2015 retrospective calls the balance well judged. Source: thedailystar.net, steamcommunity.com.
  • Camera and movement never fight the player
The terminal is shown in fixed side view and the character walks between offices on a click, so no camera handling is required. Source: thedailystar.net, pcgamingwiki.com.
