Synopsis
RACE On is a circuit racing simulation from SimBin that adds the 2008 World Touring Car Championship season, American muscle cars, Formula Masters open-wheelers and new tracks such as Laguna Seca and Road America to RACE 07. Players drive single races, full championship weekends or online races against up to 25 drivers. On Steam it is an expansion that needs RACE 07 to play.
Reception
Critics at release found the driving physics and the racing AI as strong as ever and enjoyed the new American cars and circuits, but noted that the aging engine looked dated next to newer racers and that the package added little for owners of the base game. Several reviews also mentioned a steep learning curve that suits dedicated sim fans more than casual players. The Steam page currently shows no user reviews, and the few recent forum threads are mostly about wheel setup and launching the content through RACE 07.
