Synopsis

A physics puzzle game in which you link living balls of goo into bridges, towers and chains to guide the rest of them to a pipe at the end of each level. Across five chapters, new kinds of goo with their own properties add twists, all set in a darkly whimsical world with a gently satirical story.

What people say

World of Goo was acclaimed at release as one of the most inventive puzzle games of its time, winning major independent and design awards and becoming one of the first big indie successes. Critics praised its approachable but deep physics, distinctive art and music. A free 2019 update brought widescreen and higher resolutions to the Steam version. Players today still recommend it for its clever puzzles and soundtrack, while some find the physics finicky, the optional extra challenges far too hard, and the puzzles repetitive in long sessions.
