Synopsis
A third-person action RPG in the style of Dark Souls, starring Harkyn, a tattooed convict released to fight an invasion of demonic Rhogar. Players explore a monastery and the realm beyond it, fight heavily armored enemies with slow, stamina-based combat, and take on a long run of large bosses.
What people say
Critics in 2014 called it a competent but derivative Souls-like, praising its art and boss designs while noting heavy, slow combat and performance trouble on PC. Players today often recommend it as an easier entry point to the genre with a well-connected world. The most common complaints are clunky, sluggish combat, bosses that feel repetitive or too easy, heavy camera shake, and an unclear interface with no map. Some players also report crashes and optimization problems.

Design today
2.5 / 5✗Controls feel awkward on a modern controller or mouse and keyboard
Combat is slow and heavy, and reviewers described the hero as cumbersome to control and the lock-on as sometimes unresponsive when several enemies are near. Source: videogamer.com, cubed3.com, worthplaying.com.
✗Menus, text or interface are hard to read on today's screens
The game has no in-game map or quest tracker, and players report getting lost in its vertical, look-alike areas. Source: videogamer.com, steamcommunity.com, steamcommunity.com.
✓Saving is fair: free saves or frequent checkpoints, little lost progress
The game saves only at checkpoints, but reviewers found them frequent and much closer together than in Dark Souls, with one placed before most bosses, so little progress is lost. Source: gameinformer.com, gamingnexus.com, gamepressure.com.
✓It teaches itself: no guide needed to make progress
In-game tips explain the controls and systems, and reviewers called it a more accessible Souls-like for beginners, though quests give only vague objectives. Source: cubed3.com, gamingnexus.com, gamepressure.com.
✗Pacing drags: grind, filler or forced backtracking
Fights are slow enough that one review said they border on turn-based, and enemy variety grows stale toward the end, even though several reviewers praised the boss battles. Source: videogamer.com, gameinformer.com, worthplaying.com.
✗Camera or movement fights the player
The lock-on camera spins and shakes in narrow spaces, which reviewers said causes dizziness and kills the player more often than enemies do. Source: gamepressure.com, cubed3.com, steamcommunity.com.
