Synopsis
A cooperative first-person shooter about a crew of masked career criminals pulling heists around Washington, D.C. and beyond. Up to four players pick jobs from an online map, plan their approach, and either slip through quietly or shoot their way out, earning money and experience to unlock skills, weapons and gear.
What people say
Critics at release enjoyed its tense co-op heists and the choice between stealth and loud play, while heavily criticizing the computer-controlled teammates. Its reputation suffered in 2015 and 2016 when paid drills and changed pack contents drew a strong backlash, later partly reversed. Players today still call it highly replayable and fun with friends, but complain about the sheer amount of paid DLC, unreliable bots that make solo play harder, little in-game guidance and occasional bugs.
Playability today
Playability runs from 1 to 5. It is the average of two parts. Each part starts at 1 and climbs to 5 as more of its checks pass. Read the method.

Design today: 4.5 / 5
- ✓Controls feel natural on a modern controller or mouse and keyboardMouse and keyboard shooting works like a standard shooter, but controller play is weaker, with no remapping and poor deadzone settings that the community fixes with mods. Source: pcgamingwiki.com, vaporlens.app.
- ✓Menus, text and interface are clear on today's screensNo widely shared complaint about readability turned up beyond menu crashes for some players; evidence on the interface is thin. Source: vaporlens.app.
- ✓Saving is fair: free saves or frequent checkpoints, little lost progressHeists are short, self-contained jobs and progress is kept after each one; players mention progression bugs rather than lost progress by design, so evidence is thin. Source: vaporlens.app.
- ✗It teaches itself: no guide needed to make progressPlayers widely say the game explains little and that its skill builds and mechanics need outside guides. Source: vaporlens.app.
- ✓Pacing holds up: little grind, filler or forced backtrackingPlayers praise its replayability with friends, though solo play grows tedious at higher difficulties; grind is not singled out in the summarized reviews, so evidence is thin. Source: vaporlens.app.
- ✓Camera and movement never fight the playerThe first-person view behaves like any modern shooter, and players raise no camera complaints; this rests on the absence of complaints. Source: vaporlens.app.
