Synopsis
SiN Episodes: Emergence is a linear first-person shooter built on the Source engine, the first chapter of a planned episodic sequel to SiN. As security chief John Blade you fight through docks, sewers and a skyscraper in Freeport City, chasing a drug ring tied to a powerful corporation. A dynamic difficulty system watches how well you play and adjusts enemies to match.

Reception
Critics gave it a Metascore of 75 from 42 reviews, crediting the solid gunplay and an adaptive difficulty system that eases off when the player struggles, while noting the episode lasts only about five hours. Steam players still praise the combat, map design and weapons, but the cliffhanger ending was never resolved because the planned later episodes were canceled. Multiplayer runs on a separate Steam app, where a community member announced a new 24/7 server in 2025.
