Synopsis

Divinity: Original Sin is a turn-based role-playing game in which two Source Hunters investigate a murder in a coastal town and are drawn into a much larger threat. You explore an open, systemic world, solve quests in many ways, and fight tactical battles where fire, water, oil and electricity combine on the battlefield; the whole campaign can be played in co-op.

What people say

Critics in 2015 rated the Enhanced Edition among the best RPGs of its time, praising the tactical depth of elemental combat, the freedom to solve problems in different ways and the strong console adaptation. Reviewers also noted that turns drag in big fights and that the game is hard and complex for newcomers. Players today often treat it as the foundation of Larian's later Baldur's Gate 3, but warn of a slow opening, vague quest directions and a few quests that can break if handled out of order.
