Synopsis
A turn-based tactical role-playing game set in a cyberpunk Berlin where magic and technology mix. You lead a small crew of shadowrunners on jobs that blend tactical combat, hacking runs and branching dialogue. Between missions you return to your crew's neighborhood base, where companions and local characters develop through conversation.
What people say
Critics and players praised its writing, morally gray companions and well-drawn setting, seeing it as a big step up from Shadowrun Returns. The Director's Cut was welcomed for reworking combat with clearer cover and flanking. Criticism centers on weak enemy AI, combat that rarely gets hard, a text-heavy presentation with no voice acting and some bugs and freezes in long sessions. Players still recommend it as one of the best entries in the series.
