Synopsis

A third-person action role-playing game set in the fairy-tale land of Albion. After his village is destroyed, a young boy trains at the Heroes' Guild and grows into a hero whose looks, reputation and the way people treat him change with every good or evil choice he makes.

What people say

The original Fable was widely praised in 2004 for its combat, humor and moral choices, though critics noted a short main story and the many features that had been promised and cut. The Anniversary remaster drew mixed reviews: its new visuals were welcomed, but long-standing bugs and freezes remained. Players today still enjoy its charm and quick, lighthearted adventure, while criticizing clumsy mouse and keyboard controls, awkward menus, a restless camera and bugs that have gone unfixed for years.
