Synopsis
A Resident Evil spin-off built around small, fast online matches in which mercenary squads fight each other in maps drawn from earlier games in the series, with zombies roaming as a hazard. A short single-player mode sets the player against waves of infected across a string of brief missions.
What people say
Critics in 2016 were almost uniformly negative, citing clunky mechanics, poor performance, thin content and repetitive matches. Players who still try it enjoy the weapon and character customization, the fan-service maps and quick matches with friends. The main complaints are an online population so small that matches are hard to find, sluggish and laggy controls, frame drops and stutter, and a repetitive single-player mode. It remains one of the weakest-received entries in the Resident Evil brand.
